The Need for Qualified Nurses is Increasing
In 2010, the Institute of Medicine introduced new recommendations for the nursing profession when it set a target that 80% of all nurses hold a bachelor's degree by 2020. This goal was rooted in academic research indicating that patients receive better care in hospitals when the majority of nurses have higher-level academic degrees.

Designated a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing, Villanova University's RN to BSN program, available online, features a curriculum taught by recognized nursing educators that upholds the same high academic standards as those awarded to on-campus students. Villanova nurses gain a global health perspective, improving their ability to promote health and wellness with their patients and throughout the community.
